Time to finish what I started last night. I think I am over the time change now. It's amazing what 2 hours does to you, especially when you are active.
Yesterday was another beautiful day in the valley of the sun. The weather here is great. High 70's low 80's. Everything here is in bloom, flowers, trees. Lots of wildlife.
Did not do much in the morning. Had lunch by the pool and then Joel and I went to the golf course around 1:00. 45 minutes of driving range and off we went. Played Mesquite and Ironwood. Got paired up with a really nice older couple. Maureen and Ed. Maureen started off the introductions stating: She is a beginner, she will pick her ball up when needed, she doesn't keep score. Perfect we told her, because we were playing our first round of the year. That made the whole day much more enjoyable. No hard ass golfers playing USGA rules etc. We played a little slow because we teed off from different boxes, but still took 4 hrs for 18. Not bad. Maureen taught us a new word for golf SBU. Shitty but useful. Like a lot of low trajectory shots that rolled right where you needed them to. Had a few of those.
Joel played really well. An even 100. That was after a rough start. Throw in a few pars and one awsome birdie that was 4" away from being a hole in one.
Look at the divot and the where the ball ended up. Crazy. He also finished will some really nice long drives 270+ on the last 2 holes.
Maureen said she will look for Joel on the PGA in a few years.
Meanwhile the girls have matching feet, shoes, nail color lol. Pedicures while the boys went golfing..
